Stationary Box and Layout

I haven't had much time to create this past month, but here is a sample of what we did at my card class and a layout with pictures from when Cody was an only child.
I got the stationary box idea from Jackie Topa. It is super cute, you can also search stationary box on SCS and see way cute examples. We made 2 standard cards, a 3x3 card, a tag and the box in less than 3 hours. The technique is fussy stamping on pattern paper. Super fun and super easy. Thanks Andrea and Nancy for coming!

The paper pack used in Notebook by CTMH. The stamps are Made By Me, Extreme Caps, Thoughtful Seasons and Nov Stamp of the Month All Decked Out. We used hollyhock twill and colonial white brads as well. Most of the pieces are distressed with either crystal blue ink or black. The holder has an address book and a pocket to hold stamps, one for tags and a pocket for 3x3 cards seperate from the main box.

This layout was inspired by one from Pencil Lines. I thought the circles were fun since all of the kids are playing ball. This was the first trip Cody and I took without Curt. We went to see Sherry in North Platte. All of the stitching is drawn on, the flowers are paper pieced and doodled with gel pens and the word "Ball" also has some doodling. I used coluzzle to do the circles, my nesties aren't big enough! Colors used are chocolate, hydrangea, orange, citrus leaf and white. Not a drop of pattern paper on this one! All items but the gel pens are CTMH. The stamp set used in Love in Bloom.
